You have within you everything you need to live healed and whole. Sometimes the our pain or the challenges of life hide this from us…and we need some help to re-discover our strength.
My goal as a psychologist is to help my clients discover hope, defeat shame, dare courageously, live authentically, and access their innate healing potential no matter what difficulties they face.
Coming to therapy takes courage! I work to honor my clients’ bravery while inviting them to grow. My approach to therapy is highly flexible, collaborative and tailored to the unique needs of each client. But before I start any therapeutic intervention, I work hard to listen well and understand my clients, to “get it” as much as I can, since there is no substitute for a strong therapeutic relationship and a good fit between therapist and client.
I flexibly incorporate several therapeutic modalities into my work with clients including interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, cognitive processing, ego-state and emotion-focused processes. I have specialized training in Brainspotting and the Comprehensive Resource Model, both of which are highly effective techniques for trauma resolution.
