Adoption holds a special place in my heart. We have had an extraordinary and blessed adoption journey and one of my passions is to encourage and support others whose life path includes adoption, whether waiting to adopt, those who have adopted, or those who have themselves been adopted. It can be a wonderful, complicated, exciting, scary journey, but what a blessed journey it is!

I am grateful to have so many varying perspectives of adoption. Here are the ways adoption has touched my life:

• My wife is adopted and has a very positive relationship with both of her birth parents.
• I am an adoptive father. My wife and I adopted our son in May 2015.
• My father adopted my stepsister soon after he married her mother.
